“You’re just in this intense world,” she admitted Life Reality by Kate Casey podcast. “It’s your life, but extended and intense. These weird hierarchies are on display and these fourth wall issues come on camera. You have to be on your game and be strong. ”

While her time was feeling off, she said returning to New York was the right thing to do. “It may have looked like the wrong time to get involved in a reality show and be a part of it,” she said. “But to me, it looked like the perfect time because there was nowhere to go, and to be in New York. ”

Mortimer was always younger than the rest of the team as well. But the vibe moved when RHONY cast Leah McSweeney. “We had met and I had tested it, filming it together,” Mortimer said. “We went out once or twice and when she got the show I was so happy to have a younger girl on the show. I had times with different people. ”
