After Karen Landry, 30, tied the knot with Miles Williams, 26, on Lifetime’s He married at first sight season 11 in New Orleans, fans immediately followed the couple with great interest. Karen and Miles seemed like a great game in many ways, but they sometimes struggled to find their way to more physical and emotional friendships – especially under the pressing pressure of COrantID-19 and quarantine.
Karen recently opened to Showbiz Cheat Sheet exclusively about the challenges of filming He married at first sight, her initial comments of Miles, the biggest misconceptions fans had about her reasons, and her emotional conversation with Dr. Pepper Schwartz on a recent program.
Q: What do you want to do differently in the process?
Big question! I wish I could have been more relaxed on camera. It was so much to take at the same time and it was hard for me to forget that the cameras were there.
Q: What was your biggest challenge in the eight weeks?
The biggest challenge? Hmmm… where do I start? Haha. We’ll see. I married a stranger on a TV show when a global pandemic struck. Seriously, doesn’t that look deceptive? We have been challenged in so many ways through this experience.
It was difficult to deal with so many emotional elements at once, so it is difficult to choose one thing, because it was the weight of all these things that made this experience so challenging. e.
Overall, it was a personal challenge for me as an entrant to talk about my feelings as they unfolded, and I was still trying to process them. I didn’t really value that part. He worked full time while filming a lot. You will not get much time for yourself.
‘Married at First Sight’ will air Wednesday on Lifetime at 8pm EST.
