The medical drama ER it was first shown on the track back in 1994, and to this day, people still talk about how popular they were on the TV show.

Set in the fictional County General Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, the show is the second longest-running medical drama ever televised, and for good reason. The acting was obvious, and the stories kept everyone ‘s attention as fans watched and waited on the edge of their seats to see what would happen next.

With an amazing team that included actors such as George Clooney, Noah Wyle, Alex Kingston, and many more, ER there were also some guest stars that fans never forgot.

It is no surprise that the party won over 20 Primetime Emmy awards, and has received over 100 Emmy nominations. While medical drama hasn’t been around since 2009, we like to remember the intimate relationships, drama and intimate plots that ER has brought us for so many years.

The talented team came true ER to life, but perhaps not many people realize that Maura Tierney almost made it to the end of the show.

ER followed the doctors and nurses who worked in the emergency department of the local hospital and first went down into the drama behind everyday incidents. Life in any hospital emergency room has never been easy, and we’d love to see what it was like for the team with each new program.

So what was it about? Created by Michael Crichton, we got to see every aspect of life as a hospital worker, from the emotional relationship stories to the stressful parts of saving the lives of patients in need. The show helped several of the actors to gain fame, and made house names out of the likes of George Clooney and Julianna Margulies.

It may have ended ten years ago, however ER it is still very popular today.

Maura Tierney almost made it to the end of the show

Maura Tierney became such a popular actress on the show ER, which is why it is so awful to learn that she almost did to the end. What exactly happened? Well, according to a source, the actress, who played Dr. Abby Lockhart for 10 years, demanded that she be killed, according to Magazine alright.

People loved it so much, and Tierney played such an important role, so why didn’t she want to stay?

Over the years, fans have loved seeing her go from being a nurse to a doctor and overcoming personal struggles as she navigated through a number of relationships.

The actress herself once said “I had a really good time there, but it’s been almost ten years, and part of me is ready to move on, but part of me is going to be sad about it. ”Looks like she really appreciated her time on the show.

What happened last?

Although Tierney demanded that Abby Lockhart be killed, the representatives would not go with him.

They felt that Tierney and her character were too important to the show, so they gave her a good story to play out in the remaining times, and ironically, she’s fine with that.

The producers decided to take a closer look at fans of Lockhart’s relationship with Luka, and in Tierney’s last show they leave together.

We see them move on, do what’s best for them as a couple and make Tierney leave. ER as sentimental as can be.
