The Office it became a true TV legend after nine seasons on NBC. Many of their favorite characters, and actors, made their way into the hearts of fans and have remained there ever since. So it’s no surprise that many diehard fans of it The Office to hear more from their favorite scene members.
Fortunately, those five The Office team members have written their own books. Some of the following titles give readers a glimpse behind the show, while others give fans an insight into the actors ’and other interests.
Mindy Kaling played Kelly Kapoor on it The Office, but her career on the show went far beyond working at Dunder-Mifflin. Kaling was also an executive producer, director and writer for the NBC sitcom for the nine seasons before moving on to direct Fox’s The Mindy Project.
The 41-year-old mother of two has also written several memoirs. Her book in 2011, Does everyone hang out without me? (And Other Concerns), focusing on her relationships, childhood, friendships, body image and cultural identity, while her 2015 comedy collection Why not me? includes both humorous essays and even one chapter of fiction set in a hemisphere. Recently, Kaling released Nothing is as I thought, a light – hearted collection of six essays on how she became famous and her life as a mother.
BJ Novak was Kaling’s other half The Office in every way – as an executive producer, writer, and, of course, Kelly’s boyfriend again, again, Ryan Howard. When he turned carelessly like Ryan he was a unlikely candidate to write a children’s book, however The book without pictures – all about silly sounds and wacky attempts of expression – quickly burned to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list after its 2014 release.
Novak’s second book, One more thing: stories and other anecdotes, a wonderfully literal collection of short essays, many of them humorous and humorous. Several spies of Novak spies from The Office, along with greats like Emma Thompson and Julianne Moore, provided voice talent for the Audible Audiobook version.
Rainn Wilson, who captured the hearts of fans as the unstable and unbelievable Dwight Schrute The Office, went on to set up the SoulPancake website – all about “the big questions of life”, from philosophy and religion to science and ethics – after his nine seasons as Dwight.
In addition to the best-selling book of 2010, SoulPancake: Chew on the big questions of life, which grew out of the popular site, Wilson wrote a 2015 memoir (King Bassoon: Art, Idiocy, and Other Sordid Stories from the Band Room) of youth, his eternal “nerd” identity, and his spiritual journey.
Jenna Fischer is, of course, famous for playing everyone’s favorite secretary, Pam Beesly – and Jim Halpert’s favorite – on The Office. But it took nearly a decade for Fischer to complete that life-changing career after she arrived in Hollywood from her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
