Bly Manor Event that was very different than before. Hill House Event. There are many reasons for that, but the main one was all the love stories tied together in Bly Manor. Some were poisonous, others were barely able to get off the ground despite strong emotions. And one person left the audience breathless from grief at the end of the season.
For Victoria Pedretti and Amelia Eve, the ending of their characters may have been a little brighter than some might see as the first. [Again, spoiler alert: Spoilers ahead for The Haunting of Bly Manor].
The first and final scenes are inspired by The Storyteller

Carla Gugino opens the season with gray hair and is asleep on a chair in her hotel room. Her involvement was kept secret until the first release of the program, so it was a pleasure for fans to see her familiar face; she played Olivia Crain in Hill House Event.
Her exact identity is not revealed until the last episode. But of course the storyteller is Jamie, the gardener years later. Once this is revealed, Gugino’s broken and sarcastic glances and aura make sense; she lost Dani and is still bearing the brunt of her pain.
Bly Manor Event ending with this version of Jamie asleep in the same position she woke up to, with the tub and sink full of water and the ajar door. This is to make sure that if Dani wanted to come back to her, Jamie might see her. But what Jamie doesn’t know is Dani is then; her hand can be seen on Jamie’s shoulder after she has been asleep, just out of frame. But is this the first time Dani has shown up alongside Jamie? Pedretti and Eve don’t think so.
Was Dani always with Jamie? Victoria Pedretti and Amelia Eve think she was
In an interview with BuzzFeed on October 12, most of the team came together to discuss many “shooting questions” about the season. One was whether Dani visited Jamie before that ended.
“I think Dani is always with Jamie,” Pedretti, who plays Dani, replied emphatically.
Eve, who painted Jamie, had a longer response, but she basically agreed. She thought Dani had been with Jamie “all the time,” ever since Jamie had to leave Bly Manor lake. That’s where Dani eventually ended up, replacing Viola as the Lady of the Lake, as she would then take Jamie’s life if Viola were on her way. However, Eve doesn’t think Jamie knows, and that’s evident in the way she tells the story to the wedding guests.
“I think Dani was so willing to absorb this evil energy and not let it influence anyone else again. She was so self-sufficient in that, ”said Eve. “And Jamie is very self-sufficient. So I think if Jamie could have been, she would have taken Dani off. But Dani wouldn’t let her so Dani didn’t let Jamie know she’s there but she’s there all this time. “
Eve then thought this was the first time Jamie was moving the horrors of Bly Manor. It’s a bit cathartic for Jamie, in a way, Eve said. However, like all stories, it is “open for interpretation.”
This whole story was told from Jamie’s point of view, so she wouldn’t have known about what happened to Dani
One of the last upseting things about Dani as the new Lady of the Lake is that Jamie says she will stay there forever. And in time she would also fade with her memories of Jamie. But what if Dani didn’t leave, along with following Jamie for the rest of her life? Instead, what if her unselfish sacrifice was rewarded with a happy ending, in death.
Everything the audience hears is from Jamie’s point of view. He looks as neutral as Jamie can, in terms of justice for all ghosts and characters. But the storyteller, aka Jamie, is not omnipotent. She doesn’t know what happens after death, and she doesn’t know what Viola wants with Dani.
So instead of circling the halls forever, as Viola did, Dani didn’t kill anyone and no one else was involved in Bly Manor because Viola was gone. Dani was in her place.
However, that hand at the end – Dani ‘s hand – really makes the audience believe that if she visits Jamie every night, she may never be there. . Maybe, one day, they could be together again.
