‘This Is Us’: Dan Fogelman Gives a Much-Needed Update on the Season 5 Premiere


The This is us The season 5 premiere is coming, and everyone knows this one will be great. The last quarterback answered a few burning questions about the Pearson family. But it also left fans wondering what’s next. Now, as viewers wait patiently for the new season to air on NBC, creator Dan Fogelman has a few This is us updates to share.

What happened in season 4 ‘This Is Us’?

As for the rest of This is us In season 5, Fogelman blocked something “big” and “pivotal” was coming. He also shared the story of the Pearson family that delves deeper into several remaining arcs from the fourth quarter of last season. Speaking to TV Insider, he noted that “a lot is coming” now that Kate and Toby have decided to accept him. Toby gets his own arc too.

Fogelman later touched on “Kevin’s random pregnancy” and Madison, saying it would not be a traditional relationship, as it was not “born out of childhood and passion.” Season 5 will also continue to explore Randall’s mental health, with Pamela Adlon returning as the counselor’s therapist.

“He has started exploring issues with his mother and family, a place where he has never allowed himself to go before,” Fogelman said.

Meanwhile, in a previous interview with Hollywood Reporter, Fogelman revealed that Rebecca and Miguel ‘s (Jon Huertas) relationship will be examined last in season 5.

“We have a big story planned for Mandy next season today as an older woman and also the timelines of the past,” he said. “That will take a deeper look at Rebecca and Miguel’s relationship over the decades. ”

But overall, it’s clear This is us Season 5 is going to be amazing. So keep an eye on it. New events start on Tuesday, October 27th.
