During his six-season run, Schitt’s Creek it took over with the LGBTQ community and became a major stable for its inclusion. On Twitter, co-creator and actor Dan Levy called out Comedy Central India for questioning a same-sex kiss between David (Levy) and Ted (Dustin Milligan).
‘Schitt’s Creek’ is famous for its LGBTQ production
In Schitt’s Creek, David Rose ‘s Levy character is pansexual, meaning he is attracted to people regardless of their gender, gender, or gender identity. The character became one of the most prominent pansexual characters in fiction, primarily because of the wine symbolism used to describe David’s sexuality.
“Um… I drink red wine,” David tells Stevie (Emily Hampshire). “But I also drink white wine. And of course I tasted the rosé from time to time. And a couple summers ago I tried Merlot which used to be a rather complicated Chardonnay. ”
“This is the biggest takeaway I could think of from this show. I just think back to the times in my life when I was still in the closet and struggling a lot, and I think if I could have an open and real life, ”Levy told GLAAD . “It’s so different between me when I was a teenager and who I am now. I am really proud of the work we have done, and I am encouraged by the change that we seem to have made in people’s lives and in people’s homes. ”
