‘Gray’s Anatomy’ presenter Krista Vernoff was sure she wouldn’t cover COVID-19
There were four events left, when season 16 of Anatomy Gray finished. However, since the exhibition closed in mid-March, there has been a medical crisis and a civil rights movement.
Although the show is currently taking place, Krista Vernoff still felt that she did not want to take on the pandemic.
“I passed the whole hiatus kicking it around, and came into the writers’ room thinking I had decided we weren’t going to do it,” she told the Hollywood Reporter.
Like everyone else, she deals with the effects of the virus on her daily life. Do fans want to see more of that while relaxing and watching the show?
The medical team convinced Vernoff to cover the coronavirus on ‘Gray’s Anatomy’
However, the medical staff in the writers’ room changed the shower’s mind over the “pandemic obesity” she was feeling.
“They really believed me it would be irresponsible not to [cover COVID-19], ”Vernoff told the uprising. “Being the biggest medical show and avoiding the biggest medical story of our time made them feel indifferent to the medical community. These doctors are corrupt. They are not trained or tied to keep the hands of people who are dying all day alone without their families. ”
Production began on September 9, 2020, for Anatomy Gray Season 17. Many of the actors shared photos on social media, telling their fans how excited they were to film again. Ellen Pompeo, featuring Meredith Gray, wrote an impressive post.
“The first time back in my tracks since we closed the filming,” Pompeo began writing on Instagram. “7000 healthcare workers have died from COVID. I dedicate my season 17 to all who have fallen and to all of you who, by the grace of God, are still standing. This season is for you with humility and a bit of humor to get us through and endless gratitude. I hope we take pride in it. ”
It seems that the new season may be the much-needed fans of escapism even if it covers the pandemic.
