The Heartbreaking Reason Will Smith Cried ‘Uncontrollably’ After Meeting Jada Pinkett-Smith for the First Time


Unlike many relationships that begin shortly after the couple first set their eyes on each other, the love story of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith began a little differently.

When the famous actress first met his now wife, he was already married to Sheree Zampino. Because he did not believe in divorce, Smith was left with the impression that he was unhappy in his marriage, which he says made him feel awful with emotion after meeting Pinkett- Smith for the first time.

The night Will Smith met Jada Pinkett, he met his first wife instead

Smith first saw Pinkett in the early 1990s as he watched the show, A different world, on which she was a star. The second he saw her, Smith was enthralled by the young star and knew he had to meet her.

“I knew there was something in our energy that would be magical,” Smith explained in a October 2018 program of the Pinkett-Smith Watch Facebook series Red Table Conversation.

One night, Smith went to the tap of the hit sitcom, intending to introduce himself to Pinkett. But when the Men in black an actor appearing on the set of the show, instead he ran into his soon-to-be first wife, Sheree Zampino, who was ready to visit a friend.

The pair immediately hit him and started to fall back shortly after the first time they met. In 1992, Smith and Zampino married, and later that same year, they welcomed their son, Trey.

Not working on his draw to Jada, Smith broke down in tears

Red Table Conversation, Smith remembered the moment he last met Pinkett Smith face-to-face at a jazz club in Los Angeles.

As soon as they started talking, Smith realized that Pinkett’s first spark was still there and that he could feel the “unique, beautiful power” between them.

But seeing as Smith was married to Zampino and did not believe in divorce, he and Pinkett did not pursue each other, despite reports that they were dating back while he was still with his wife.

“We had no relationship when he was married; we will be clear about that, ”said Pinkett-Smith during the Red Table Conversation episode.

However, without working on his draw to Pinkett he did the Independence Day an actor’s experience of “one of the most extraordinary emotions” he has ever had.

During the program, Smith recalled being overwhelmed with emotion while having dinner with Zampino one night at a restaurant.

According to the actor, it was there that he realized he was supposed to be with Pinkett and completely broke over thinking about it.

“I realized I wasn’t with the person I should have been,” Will said. “[Jada] she was the woman I was supposed to be with, but I never got separated. I am not separated. ”

Smith even remembered “crying uncontrollably” and laughing inside the bathroom stall that evening as all the emotions he felt immediately struck.

After experiencing a great deal of feelings in the bathroom, Smith said he did it himself, returned to dinner, and moved on with his life.

While the actress was willing to spend the rest of her days with Zampino, the universe had other plans for her love life as she finally filed for divorce.

Although Smith was reluctant to sign the documents, Zampino admitted that he would do so because she knew he did not love her. In 1995, the two were officially separated.

After breaking up with Zampino, Smith says he called Jada, who had just bought a farm in Baltimore, and asked her, “Do you see anyone? ”

When she said no, he simply replied, “Cool. You see me now. “And as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Smith and Pinkett tied the knot in 1997 and welcomed their two children, Jaden and Willow, shortly thereafter.

Today, the couple is still happily married and often talk about what their marriage is happening on social media and in interviews.

Although they have hit a number of rough patches over the years, Will and Jada have continued to put up a united face, which shows that they were always intended to be together.
