‘Ratched’ Just Reached a Major Milestone on Netflix


Fans can’t get enough of Mildred Ratched and her nefarious actions. In Ratchedstart week, the One flight went over the cuckoo’s nest prequel quickly jumped to one of the most watched shows on Netflix.

On October 16, the streaming platform announced that the show led by Sarah Paulson will be the main new original series of 2020. According to a tweet from the platform, 48 million people watched Ratched since its release on September 18th.

“In its first 28 days,” the tweet said, “48 million members have placed an order with Nurse Ratched, making it the 1st largest original season of the year. ”

That is the milestone. And this is one Paul Paul himself cannot believe. The Emmy-winning actress took to Instagram on October 16 to respond to the exciting news.

“What’s the mind-blowing news of waking up,” she said write. “I am so grateful to all of you for your willingness to dive into the world of #Ratched, embrace Mildred, and be yourself. There is often the joy of doing the thing – and it is a reward for you… but what a feeling it is to get over such a response. You have all made everyone in the Ratched family proud with pride and joy. ”

The show’s creator Ryan Murphy also accepted the news on it Instagram, just saying, “Thank you.”

“Our plan is to go beyond both seasons,” Romansky said. “Ideally, maybe around four seasons. I think Ryan has talked about doing four seasons. And we have an arc of where we want to go with it. So, yes, for sure. We have a lot to tell in the Mildred Ratched story. This character is not, she is not where she is Cuckoo’s nest. We really push it every season, that is the goal. ”

The pandemic coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak appears to be halting the outcome of Season 2. According to Romansky, the story has not yet been developed for his sophomore season.

“We have had discussions,” he said. “We don’t have a formal writers’ room yet. The pandemic has put everything behind, so we are still trying to manage that. Ryan has a lot of projects, so he has to knock down a couple. We are talking, though. I’m just getting ready to attack. ”

Without a doubt, fans eagerly await the cold return of Nurse Ratched.
