Jada Pinkett Smith credits Oprah Winfrey for paving the way for the creation of her talk show, Red Table Conversation.
On May 7, 2018, Pinkett Smith appeared first Red Table Conversation program on Facebook Watch. The basis of the digital speech show was that Pinkett Smith would engage in conversations with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and her daughter, Willow Smith. The women deal with issues within their famous family, additions in the past, and different perspectives on a number of moving topics throughout the series. The show was a success almost immediately and was the first show ever to receive funding from Facebook to receive an Emmy Award during the day.
As with many shows, Red Table Conversationsuccess came with comparisons of other pre-existing television programs. For the past few years, the show has been at odds with Winfrey ‘s long talk show, Oprah Winfrey Exhibition. Winfrey completed the daytime talk show in 2011 after 25 seasons.

The first program of Oprah Winfrey Exhibition first on September 8, 1986. According to Hollywood Reporter, Winfrey was newly retired as Sofia in The purple color when the show aired nationally. For the next 25 years following the show’s premiere, Winfrey would have been dubbed the “Queen of All Media” and the first black millionaire in North America, each Emmys. The Oprah Winfrey Show also won a series of Daytime Emmys and won an entry for Winfrey in the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1994.
Although she believes Red Table Conversation unlike any other talk show, Pinkett Smith may have a bit of competition from Winfrey on his hands. In July 2020, Winfrey joined Apple TV to produce her new presentation, Oprah Conversation. Prior to launching her latest campaign, Winfrey had two shows on Apple Tv, Oprah Debates COVID-19, and Oprah Book Club.
