Sadie Robertson Huff is best known for her grandfather Phil Robertson and the popular A&E series, Duck Dynasty. But she has made a name for herself as well, as a first Dancing with the stars Season 19. She also wrote a New York Times bestselling book about Christian faith and values called Live Original and the career of music and acting is strong.
Huff made headlines recently when she announced via Instagram that she and husband Christian Huff are expecting their first child together. But before that, she took a walk around the family home in which she grew up, and that’s also where she and Christian got married.
Sadie Robertson called Huff home ‘her favorite place in the world’
The Duck Dynasty family is famous for having close ties. The reality series followed the Robertsons while running a family business, Duck Commander, which made duck calls and other duck hunting products.
Huff’s father is William Robertson of Duck Dynasty cliu. His sprawling home in West Monroe, Louisiana was the subject of a TODAY show home tour that Huff willingly hosted.
“My home is probably my favorite place in the world,” Huff said during the tour. “My mum did an amazing job with all the design work. You know I don’t live here now, but the house is still here, my room is still here, causing us to come home a lot. Because this is the house where all my memories were created. ”
She remembers family meals around the table and fun game nights
It’s easy to think of the whole Robertson clan hanging out in the house, which has an open floor plan with plenty of space for everyone. Huff celebrates the large dressing court in the living room and explains that this is the most comfortable place to sit and watch reality TV or play games together.
And then there’s the kitchen, which Huff called “the heart of the home.” Huff says her father was the best chef and liked to prepare a big roast or traditional Southern food like deer steak (from his own hunting trips, of course) with biscuits on the side. The family then gathered around the table to share food and chat.
Sadie Robertson Huff shared a room with her sister Bella
Huff also took a walk around her bedroom, which connects to her younger sister Bella’s room through a sliding door. The DWTS Alum said she and her sister had separate bedrooms in their old house. However, they stopped sharing because they wanted to.
So the mother designed their new bedrooms to connect through a barn door that could be opened or closed at any time. Huff now lives with her husband in a new house, but the sisters made many memories in their family home.
The Robertsons have biblical words on the floor
Huff showed the family office that had a special development. The Robertsons include bible verses in the design floor because, as Huff put it, “our faith is based on everything my family does. And literally the foundation of this floor was laid. ”
She continued: “Ensuring that the word of God is at the very beginning and foundation of everything we do is just a small reminder. ”
Sadie Robertson married Christian Huff on her family tennis court
The sprawling back garden had views of other family homes as most people were in the Duck Dynasty the clan lives nearby. But the highlight of Robertson’s backyard was the tennis courts, where Huff and her husband tied the knot.
The pair tied the sport, so it made sense for their marriage to be on the court with a little help from some amenity facilities. Huff called it “an overnight garden” with rows of twinkle lights.
Huff may not live there anymore, but it looks like she had a wonderful time growing up in one dream Duck Dynasty house.
